Wineries/ Brewery Tours
Situated on the outskirts of Bridport why not enjoy a touch of the Mediterranean with a tour of the Furleigh Estate Vineyard.
Alternatively why not take a look around Palmers Brewery. Set on the outskirts of the town they have been brewing beer here since 1794. Still independent and still partly thatched it is well worth a visit.
Enjoy water sports? Then West Bay is the place to be. A great place to scuba dive, why not give water skiing or give wake boarding a try?
For that rush of adrenaline why not try "The West Bay Blast" or the more relaxing Jurassic Coast Cruise.
For the fisherman there are plenty of opportunities from the beach the pier or by boat.
We are minutes away from Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club where visitors are welcome. Probably one of the most scenic golf courses in Dorset.
Close by visit the Abbotsbury Sub-tropical Gardens, Swannery or Children's Farm.

Local landscape photographer Neil Barnes runs workshops in the West Bay area which are great fun and very informative.
West Bay is home to the beautiful Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Take a walk along the magnificent coastline or simply relax and take in the amazing views.
For a real taste of the Jurassic world why not join a fossil hunt treading in the footsteps of our very own Mary Anning.
Why not take a break from using the car? The X53 bus runs along the Jurassic Coast from Weymouth to Axminster and stops a few minutes walk from Bredy House.
The X51 bus will take you to Dorchester.
For access to the area there are frequent trains running between London and Dorchester, Weymouth and Axminster.
For those who prefer not to use public transport there are plenty of local taxi firms.

Browse the quirky, individual shops of Bridport and West Bay or visit the bustling local market which takes place in Bridport every Saturday and Wednesday.
Why not spend a Sunday walking through the Bridport Vintage Market situated within the historic art and antiques quarter .
Sunday is also the time to visit the famous West Bay car boot sale (Summer months only)

Dorset has always been a popular location as a dramatic setting. West Bay and the surrounding area has featured as the backdrop to many films and works of literature.
